YuMe’s Multi-Screen Interactive Video Ad Unit Arrives
Digital video brand advertising for interactive TV gets a new boost with YuMe’s first-in the-market multi-screen interactive video ad unit arrives. It is called Ngage, (derived from its multi-awarded Click-to-Ngage application) and adds a new dimension to the fast-expanding connected TV (CTV) platform by letting viewers have the option to click on ads of their choice. It lets advertisers have more leeway to create truly engaging sequences targeted for the CTV market. Connected TV will have more of an online feel because of this – Ngage will also be a barometer for interaction metrics for other similar products on the platform. Advertisers will have a valuable tool for transparency, high information content and interactivity for a market that is changing the face of television and TV programming.
Ad-driven content becomes an integral part of TV experience with Ngage. Brands can have the choice of providing in-depth stories that is as much entertainment for its engaged audience. The long-ad format of 30 seconds for Ngage will have a much more flexible menu – and presents viewers with the choices found with online site content. From their primary ads, brands can let consumers access and entire show. One such program is the Buick Human Highlight Reel, mini-docus of college athletes who have grown out of their sports and into achievements outside of the sporting realm. For Buick’s A & P director Craig Bierley, it is a one of a kind opportunity to have enriched videos create great audience engagement.
Ngage’s multi-screen, gallery and optimized across devices features offers the most immersive experience for CTV by far. Like the online experience, it lets consumers dig as deep as they want into brands and other related linkages. It forms part of the company’s Connected Audience Network (CAN) for CTVs, smart phones, tablets and PCs. Connected TV’s rise was predicated on television becoming a technologically evolved hub for homeowners. While this was a promise that has only been partially addressed, Ngage is capable of delivering fully on that.
While other companies have similar ideas and concepts being developed or being prepared for launch, Ngage is still the only product available in the market. The YouMe product’s key features for advertisers are: its turnkey solutions that leverages highly successful interaction rates; it puts real-time tracking for consumer behavior feedback almost instantaneous; the way it provides the capability to efficiently run long-form video advertising with streamlined budgets; and a low-clutter load function that gives a competitive edge for brands in today’s high-saturation ad environment.
