Virtual reality in schools is becoming an essential tool that helps students and tutors to enjoy quality learning. Today, many high school students make the most of virtual technology to take their learning to their next level in the modern learning world. Virtual learning is considered a new learning tool that brings real-world experience to students through smartphones and devices.
Workforce WindsorEssex debuted a lot of new virtual reality features and tours that take learners into the classroom and workplace, while offering a perfect sense of the job and its environment. The 360 degrees tours allow viewers and learners to look around the entire scene, while most virtual tour guide to provide quality demonstrations. Such an experience gives the students a learning experience as if they are on site.
“Based on our experience with Manufacturing Day tours, it can be challenging to bring large groups through on tour,’’ said Sarah Fram, Workforce WindowEssex’s communications coordinator. “The videos bring tours to the students instead of the students going on tours. We can reach far more students or job seekers considering a career change this way.”
The 31/2 minute videos are specifically targeted at Grade 10 students, who are slowly beginning to position for their career pathways. “Virtual technology is a cool experience,” said Mark Albazi, a Grade 10 student at St. Joseph’s who is interested in a construction career. He further added that virtual reality allows students to enjoy a unique experience and live lessons remotely.
According to the daughter, Bozzi, the 360-degree videos also help to connect differently. It will also help the students and the people to change the minds of people when it comes to learning and on careers. “People think a construction site is just for big and strong men, but you can see women in the trades. The videos add another dimension and more feeling and depth to our learning.”
